Merulapie are Lee and Catherine Black. They met in 1996 at a jewellery making class and have been inseparable ever since.

Lee and Catherine like to make things. From an early age Lee liked to dismantle electronic devices and re-create them. Today Lee’s work include acrylic paintings and digital art. Lee works on various design and web projects professionally.

Catherine grew up knitting, sewing and hoarding scraps of fabric and wool. Now Catherine loves knitting mittens and embroidering anything fabric. Together they are inspired by art, nature, tomorrow’s findings and all forms of typography.

This creative duo opened online shop Merulapie in September 2008. Merulapie has a range of unique homewares, gifts and art, lovingly created by independent artists from around the world. Signature pieces include exclusive art prints, original art and delightful screen-printed napkins.
